Often seen situated above the Burra-Moko sandstones and below the Banks Wall sandstones in the cliffs of [[Blue Mountains (New South Wales)|Blue Mountains]]. The line of strata appears as a vegetated horizontal strip.
Formed in the [[Triassic]], it is part of the [[Narrabeen Group]] of sedimentary rocks and has similarties to the [[Garie Formation]].<ref name=Geo></ref><ref></ref>
