Deccan Koli Corps

Deccan Koli Corps was irregular special force established in 1857 by captain and general [[Captain Nuttal|Nuttal]] to control lawlessness and disorder by [[Kolis]] Aland [[Bhils]] in [[Deccan Plateau|Deccan]]. The headquarters of Corps was at [[Ahmednagar]] and [[Nashik]]. It was part of [[Bombay Army]] regiments of [[British Indian Army]]. The reasons for rising koli corps was kolis. By riising deccan koli corps, kolis will not be against [[British Raj|British]] and kolis will control the situations in forest and hilly regions. The head of koli corps was [[Naik Jivaji Bomle]] of bomle clan of kolis. It contains 600 Kolis manpower.
[[Fusilier|Fusil]] with [[Bayonet]], black leather accoutrements, dark grean twisted [[Turban]], dark grean cloth [[Tunic]], dark blood coloured [[Waist clothes]] worn to the knees and sandals.
