2018 Thailand cave flooding

On Saturday, 23 June 2018, 12 members of the Wild Boar [[soccer]] team, ages 11 to 16 and one coach were trapped in the [[Doi Nang Non]] cave in [[Thailand]]. As of Friday, 29 June 2018, the search conducted by the ranger of the National Park in [[Chiang Rai]] province alerted authorities of the missing boys. Volunteers and the Thai Navy Seal worked to remove water from the cave. However, CNN reported that it has been seven days since the incident occurred where the likelihood of the boys coming out alive was diminishing. While no deaths have been confirmed, it is likely there will be 13 fatalities if the team is not found.<ref></ref>

A group of twelve boys aged between 11 and 16 who went to explore the Luang Nang Non caves with their coach on 22 June 2018 went missing. They were part of a local junior football team. The cave they entered became flooded. Military divers are searching the caves in the hope that the 13 missing persons are still alive. The search has been complicated by increasing rain and murky waters.
