Abhilasha Kumari is a daughter of former [[Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh|Chief Minister]] of [[Himachal Pradesh]] [[Virbhadra Singh]].
She started her career as an advocate in 1984. She practised in the [[Himachal High Court]] and the Himachal Pradesh administrative tribunal. She also served as additional advocate general of Himachal Pradesh in March 2003. She has served as a judge in the [[Gujarat High Court]] and [[Tripura High Court]]. She has served as the first female Chief Justice of [[Manipur High Court]] from 9 February 2018 to May 2018. She is a Chairperson of Human Rights Commission of [[Gujarat]] state of India since 17 May 2018.
