NEC・富士通・日立に見る「マテリアルズ・インフォマティクス」最前線材料開発にビッグデータ解析や人工知能（ＡＩ）技術を活用する「マテリアルズ・インフォマティクス」（ＭＩ）の競争は、研究所からビジネスの場へ舞台を移しつつある。日立製作所と富士通、ＮＥＣの３社は研究所で電池や電熱材料の開発にＭＩを活用。社内で方法論を確立して、ノウハウを外販する材料開発支援事業を目指す。
