== Early life and career ==
Chief Charles was born in [[Bukom]] to Farouk Nelson and Margaret Allotey and raised in [[Abossey Okai]]. He completed the [[St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School]].

He began his career as the founder and lead singer of Ghana's premier [[A cappella|A ccapella]] group "The Shepherds" of Nasem fame. The group recorded its first [[A cappella|A ccapella]] album in 1998 and followed up with a second album 3 years later (Mengyom) also and [[A cappella|A ccapella]] album. The shepherd disbanded round about 2003 and he went on to groom a younger Accapella group "Missionaries" with whom he recorded another [[A cappella|Acappella]] album.<ref></ref> He went on to groom many choirs for various churches in Accra as he metamorphosed into voice coaching from his many years of [[A cappella|A ccapella]] and choral music involvement.<ref></ref>

A natural orator, he occasionally emceed events for friends and relatives which led to his first radio show on [[Radio Gold]] christened The Akapella show". The Akapella show is Ghana's first Accapella Radio show which centered on the [[A cappella|A ccapella]] genre of music and it's development in [[Ghana]].<ref></ref> Following on the success of this show he was giving 20 minutes on the "drive time show" of same station,to motivate listeners which began his career as a motivational speaker. He founded Youth Against Cyber-crime (YA2C) Ghana's first cyber security advocacy which toured mostly second cycle schools in churches to raise awareness and concerns over the growing scourge of Ghana's cyber fraud menace  known popular as [[Sakawa]]. As part of this project he spoke at the Banking College of Ghana, the Internet Society of Ghana and an interview with Motherboard TV, a US based TV station with focus on the paranormal.

He was appointed a panel member of the morning show of [[Hitz FM]], a position he served for two years before moving on to his current role as panel member of Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon FM hosted by [[Sammy Flex]] and [[Arnold Mensah Elavanyo]]. <ref></ref>

He is the first choice master of ceremony for most industry events in Ghana and abroad hosting events such as the launch of Ghana Music Awards UK and the host of the Ghana Music Awards UK red carpet.
