Manuel "Manny" Robles Taningco (January 7, 1956 - ) is Filipino Martial Artist of Global Kali America. He runs martial schools which he established since 1976 in Ohio. He is the Grand Master of the Willow Sytem of Martial Art the art of fighting he himself honed and developed from the style he inherited from his Maternal Grandfather Lorenzo Robles.

'''Biography'''
Naw. Grand Master Manny, as he is respectfully addressed by his students, is a Filipino-born American citizen and expert in Martial Art(FMA) who devoted honing his family's martial art called The Willow System.
He was given birth by a Filipina who hails from Bacarra Ilocos Norte, a public school teacher that time. He was born on 7th day of January in the year 1956.
His family moved to Sampaloc, Manila where he spent most of his early years that prepared him into one of the most highly respected martial artists of the time.
As a child in the developing capital of the Philippines, the Young Manny would often witness fights and hostilities between gangs establishing dominance over territories. Becoming a member of a gang and learning how to fight is just a natural reaction to survive in such a hostile environment like Sampaloc neighborhood. In 1964, he was introduced to learning the martial art. It was in the year 1974 that opened the door to the Young Manny to different environment leaving behind the then violent place where survival is the way of life. En route to United States of America, he and his Brother Alex left Philippines and settled in Salinas, California where they both stayed with their maternal Uncle George who works in the farm and would often meet with his peers, sharpening their skills in the native martial art of escrima while defending against sticks and bolos swung at each other. Uncle George gained his skills from his father, Lorenzo Robles from Bacarra, Ilocos Norte. His Brother Alex had the opportunity to learn from their grandfather back in the Philippines, and then continued the lessons with their Uncle George. Without knowing, he, too, was being taught the arts by simply doing job he was asked to do like butchering animals for the meat. He also received from his uncle a disciplined lifestyle that would define his lifetime career. After his first exposure to martial arts magazine, Manny began to realize and saw clearly the road for him to take. He took up formal classes from various martial art instructors. Under Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje Jr. he learnt Pekiti Tirsia System and became a Master level First Generation student of GT Leo Gaje, Jr. in Ohio. Under GM Diony Cañete, he mastered Doce Pares -WEKAF , Eskrido -Soce Pares under GM Cacoy Cañete, Integrated Kali under Guro Dan Inosanto<ref>http://bit.ly/2IBV8ik> -Bruce Lee's Protégé, and Balintawak System under GM Remy Presas<ref>http://bit.ly/2LhWgcH> to name a few. He founded TAMA <ref>http://bit.ly/2Izrfii> Martial Arts Center in 1976 in Dayton -Ohio. G.M. Manny then had the opportunity competing in different martial art tournaments and emerged as a '''world champion!''' Delving deeper into the science of the art, he continued his formal education from other top masters while manning three schools which he opened since 1976.

The core of his martial art teachings rooted from his family escrima style also known as kali, arnis, didya, etc., which he named as the '''WILLOW SYSTEM''' adopted from his maternal grandfather's surname ROBLES which is translated into English as Willow Tree which is incorporated in his Kali logo in Kali America Online an online training program he founded.

His accomplishments and disciplined works keep on attracting others and producing top artists and competitors over the years. In order to transfer his martial art, he published books and videos. While technology advances, emerging pedagogy has to be adapted, too, while keeping the traditions alive!
