Devine's final season, 1974 was especially contentious as the team dealt with the NFLPA strike during the preseason and training camp. The book chronicles Devine's trade for veteran quarterback John Hadl at mid-season and a subsequent, rumored, players rebellion at season's end.<ref></ref> As of March 2018, the book has an average rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars on Amazon based on 10 reviews.
