Wellington, Grey and Bruce Railway
Fatpig73:
Wellington, Grey and Bruce Railway were two railway lines that existed in the 19th Century in Ontario.<ref>https://ift.tt/2y5iPZX>
The first WGBR was a planned line founded in 1856 as Canada North West Railway Company but was never built with charter lapsed in 1861.<ref>https://ift.tt/2y5iPZX>
The second attempt in 1864 resulted in the successful building of a line from Guelph to Harriston from 1867 to 1871. Further extensions were added from 1871 to 1874. The line was sold to Grand Trunk Railway in 1882 and disappeared as a corporate entity by 1893. The line was later acquired by Canadian National Railway. The line would be torn up over the 1980s to 1990s.
Nine of seventeen mainline stations remain with none as active railway stations.
