Marie Alexandrine Becker lived as a housewife in Liége. She killed her husband with [[Digitalis]] in 1932 to have more time for her lover, Lambert Bayer. When she became bored, the then 55-year old also murdered him in November 1934 in the same way.
Becker began after these two murders a lewd and expensive life with nightclub visits and surrounded herself with much younger men. This expensive life soon consumed the inheritance of her husband and also the estate of her lover. To further finance this nightlife, she opened a boutique in Liége and took care of people needing care. He poisoned and robbed her victims.
When her actions were discovered in 1936, she had robbed and murdered at least 11 people, possibly more. When arrested, large amounts of Digitalis were found. She was arrested in [[Brussels]] at the age of 59 and sentenced to the maximum term of [[life imprisonment]]. Becker died two years later in custody from natural causes.
